24 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2018 | Happy New Year and welcome to all our returning and new members. 2017 was a great year with lots of fun trips and events. We are looking forward to an equally great 2018. We would like to thank those members who sponsored an event with their time and creativity for the enjoyment of our club this past year. Pat Hall has taken over as Chairman of our Ladies Club, and will focus mainly on social activities. Pat has requested our members put on their creative hats and submit their suggestion for a monthly activity to her e-mail pjhall@ prodigy.net preferably, or bring one in writing to our next scheduled meeting on Mon., Jan. 22. Also, please be sure to bring your $5 annual dues for 2018. Our regular meetings are on the fourth Monday of each month, in the Lodge Ballroom at 2 pm. Please join us. Our thought for January: "There are hundreds of languages in the world, but a smile speaks them all." ~ Anonymous For additional information please contact Chairman, Pat Hall at (951) 599-4687 or pjhall@prodigy.net. Players Theater On behalf of the Players' Theater group we want to wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year! We also want to thank those of you who continue to support and attend our productions throughout the years. Our next play will be Sat., Feb. 24. Please note change in time: doors will open at 6 pm with performance beginning at 6:30 pm. Sandy Tiffin is directing three short plays for the February performance. The first is a murder mystery. How can a group of actors botch up a murder? Come and see if you can guess "who did it?" The second is about the Pucket family as they celebrate Granny's birthday with love and laughter! The third is about a great escape. No matter where life leads you, never lose your sense of humor or spirit of adventure! We would like to invite anyone who wishes to join our group to attend meetings held every third Friday at 1 pm in the Ballroom, unless we have a rehearsal. ~ Chris Pounders Life Drawing/Painting Workshop We will have live models in this workshop to work from and we can all sketch or paint them. Models will be clothed and can be a neighbor or friend of one of us. This is not a formal class and will have no fee except for a possible minimal donation for the models time. Portrait painter Andre Lohnert, one of our own residents, will be there painting along with us. His experience and advice can guide us and help us to learn on our own how to create a life drawing or painting. This is a great opportunity for those who want to expand their artistic skills in a workshop setting alongside each other. These FREE workshops will be Mondays at 1:30 pm on Jan. 15, 22, and 29.
