As we start the new year, many things come to mind, but one stands out… resolutions, resolutions,
resolutions. We all make promises to ourselves to change things in our lives, but reality gets in the way,
and our resolutions go out the window. Don't be hard on yourself. Don't worry about what may or may
not happen. Here are some funny comments about resolutions:
"Now there are more overweight people in America than average-weight people. So overweight people
are now average… which means, you have met your New Year's resolution." ~ Jay Leno
"A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other." ~ Anonymous
"May all your troubles last as long as your New Year's resolutions!" ~ Joey Adams
"Now is the accepted time to make your annual good resolutions. New week you can begin paving hell
with them as usual." ~ Mark Twain
But the best one I found, and one we can all keep, is this:
"One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this: To rise above the little things." ~ John
Burroughs
