FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2018 23
How many of us make New Year's resolutions each year and don't
always keep them? Here is a very easy one. Try something new by
joining one of Four Seasons many clubs, groups or classes. There
are so many from which to choose. Each month, the Breeze includes
articles that describe what each club or group has been doing. You
can learn new card games, enjoy outdoor sports such as pickleball
and bocce ball or expand your knowledge of wine at the monthly
meetings of the Taste d'Vine Club. You can watch movies, knit, sing,
learn to dance⦠well, the list is too long to mention all of them.
There is a club or group for almost every interest. And if there
isn't, you have the opportunity to create your own club! If you wish
to start your own club for cat owners, calligraphers or whatever
interests you, there are a few steps you must follow. An application
must be submitted to the Board of Directors with an official club
name, club captain and alternate. Captains must be in good standing
with the Association. The club must be for residents only, be open to
all residents, have 10 or more members and be established for at least
three months. Activities must be held on-site and must meet at least
once a month. Should your club wish to collect money in the form of
dues, fundraisers or ticket sales, there are additional rules that must
be followed and can be found in the Community Guidelines.
It's fun to learn new things or participate in the activities you
already enjoy. The start of the New Year is a great time to begin. We
hope 2018 is a wonderful year for all Four Seasons residents. We are
fortunate to live in a community with so many activities to choose
from so let's make the most of it! Happy New Year from the Rules &
Regulations Committee!
As a reminder, the Rules & Regulations Committee meets on the
second Tuesday of each month at 9 am in the RCN Conference Room.
If you have an issue or concern you would like to discuss or just want
to observe, you are always welcome to join us. ~ Margie Chadburn
