FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2018 27 2017 was a productive year for the Safety Committee. We were able to complete and have a number of projects approved to enhance safety inside our community. These projects include a traffic survey, crosswalks, additional AEDs, 911 phones at The Summit and The Courts, address and room identification signage at all of our recreation facilities, and a camera system at our new facility, The Courts. A big thank you to all of our Safety Committee members, Finance Committee, Management, and Board of Directors for their hard work and support. The biggest concern still being voiced to the Safety Committee is speed of traffic on Four Seasons Circle and our traffic circles. The posted speed limit is 30 mph; monitor your speed and adhere to the posted speed limit. Traffic circles are basically a one way street with those in the circle having the right of way. Please slow down as you come to the traffic circle and make sure it is safe before entering. Right hand turns into and out of the circle only. At each traffic circle entrance/exit is an unmarked crosswalk put in place by KHOV, please watch for pedestrians who may be crossing here as well, they have the right of way. Many have witnessed vehicles and golf carts turning left in the circles as a "short cut." This puts the driver of that vehicle and others in the circle at risk of a head-on collision. Free AED training will be Monday, Jan. 22, at 10 am. The location will be the Ballroom or RCN depending on the construction schedule. Sign up in the Lodge Lobby. The Safety Committee is looking forward to another good year of helping to keep our community safe. We would like to wish all Four Seasons residents a happy and safe new year. If you have any safety concerns please join us our next meeting, Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 10 am in the RCN Conference Room. ~ Donna Lewis Safety Committee This committee is making good progress in meeting its objective to carefully plan the HOA takeover from K. Hovnanian which is anticipated will occur within the next two years. The committee continued to review the Lodge parking lot capacity study, installation of a dog park and potential modifications to the amphitheater. We welcome homeowners' interest. Our meetings are at 9 am on the fourth Thursday of the month in the RCN Conference Room. Please come visit us. ~ Johanna Ballard Community Planning & Transitioning Committee
