50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2018
We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the RCN
Main Lobby; thus, our January meeting will be Jan. 16.
Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers,
regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings, workshops,
speakers, field trips, and in-house demos.
At our December meeting, the genre of Motion continued; e.g.
moving car(s), bicycle rider(s), sports players, birds in flight, all
involving stop and freeze action with blur movement showing the
speed. We saw a YouTube presentation on this topic.
In addition, guest speaker George Johnson showed us some
photographs of flowers native to Whidbey Island and gave us insight
how to photograph them both in color and infrared.
I gave information to the group about a new book just published
by Scott Kelby called The Flash Book which I read and recommend.
Flash photography is both exciting and interesting and was a recent
topic at our club.
In our January meeting, we will continue our discussion of motion.
For the coming year, we'll be planning more in-house
demonstrations of photo equipment and use of various types of
photography software and workshops, both in-house and in the field,
guest speakers, and much more.
Visit us to learn some tips and tricks for those holiday portraits
you just took over the recent holidays.
We hope to see you soon. ~ Lyle Cameron
