Happy New Year Everyone! Sun Lakes "Good times Karaoke" Troupe featuring, Rosie Ingalls, Barb Miller and DJ Blast are all geared up for another fabulous year of sharing the Karaoke microphones with our Sun Lakes neighbors and friends. Last year was so inspiring as we discovered lots of amazing voices that joined our ever growing karaoke family. This year we hope even more of you who have thought about coming to our karaoke events will make your way to our venues at last. Over the holidays; on the long trip to a relative's house, you may have heard a song that caught your ear that you would like to try out at Karaoke. A new song for you in the new year might be just the thing to start things out right. One type of song most people don't often put in their wheelhouse is dance tunes. This category is almost virtually untapped by most of our Karaoke regulars. In all honesty, almost any category of song genre is undiscovered and wide open to the adventurous explorer. So if your big game is karaoke, you should set your sights for our Sun Lakes "Good times Karaoke" with Rosie Ingalls, Barb Miller & DJ Blast. Our January dates begin on Sat., Jan. 13 in the North Clubhouse, and Jan. 26 in the South Clubhouse. All shows begin at 5:30 pm and end at 9 pm. So choose a song or two and give it a shot as we get 2018 off to a great start and as always we will keep a mic on for you. 28 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2018 | Karaoke Group The Sun Lakes Playhouse is off and running. We have just begun rehearsing for our popular February production of "That's Entertainment." This year our theme is "Adventures in Time." We will be exploring the entertainment of the times past. Mark your calendars for Feb. 22 through 25. Ticket sales begin Feb. 6. We will still be presenting plays, Readers' Theaters, and sponsoring the Summer Concert. There will be so many opportunities to exercise your acting, singing, or dancing talents. For those of us who don't perform, working behind the scenes or in other supportive roles is very rewarding and really a lot of fun.
