34 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2018 |
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you take the time to enjoy spending
quality time with those you love. Husband, wife, brother, sister,
grandchildren or even a close friend. Our relationships are what keep
us happy and believe it or not healthy!
If you or a loved one is living with Mild Cognitive Impairment
(MCI), any form of Dementia or Alzheimer's disease, we are here to
help. We have monthly meetings, sometimes with a guest speaker
who shares valuable information and we also have a support group
each month. During the meeting and support group we offer games,
entertainment and care for your loved one that you don't want to
leave at home alone. You can relax at the meeting and know that your
loved one is well taken care of in the Arts and Crafts Room by our
very loving and capable volunteers. We welcome ALL caregivers.
Our next meeting will be on Thurs., Feb. 15 at 10 am in the Main
Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. There is no guest speaker this month.
This will give you more time for the support group. Remember even
if you have lost your loved one, you can come to the support group.
Also note on our calendar this year that there are two bereavement
groups in Beaumont. We are here to support and educate you, plus
entertain your loved one while you are attending the meeting. Take
advantage of all we have to offer.
If you have any questions and would like to learn more about
Memory Loss, we have reading material we can loan you. Call Diane,
769-0130 or Anne, 845-8700. Remember, we are here to help.
Continuing with 50 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
