| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2018 | 49 As we begin 2018, we wish you more success than difficulties and that the difficulties you encounter on your journey be ones that quickly disappear. In this month's article, we asked members to share why they decided to join the RV club. Here's what they have to say: Don and Brenda Day: Words alone cannot express how much we enjoy being a member of the Sun Lakes RV Club. What we like best about the club are the social hours when we gather to enjoy each other's company. The game day, optional golf, pot luck, free days of exploring, and good people equals a fun time for all. I would highly recommend the RV Club to all adventurous, fun seeking Sun Lakers. Gary Shupe: A game day that everyone can participate in without feeling that everyone will watch and see how badly you play. Even the good players do not always do well during the whole game nor do the bad players play badly during the whole game. As an example: when playing the bean bag baseball game, a bad player could be called out often but then in the most unlikely tie, could get a home run. The most important thing during these times is to have fun. Jim and Sandy Alexanian: We moved into Sun Lakes in May 2016 and in September of that year we rented an RV and went on a rally with the club to see if it was for us. Shortly after, we purchased an RV and joined the club. We met very friendly people who made us feel welcome, had fun and have gone places we might other wise never have gone. In the short one and a half years we've been at Sun Lakes, we have met so many people in part because of our initial connection through the RV Club. Amy and Bob Stilson: We love the people and all the friends we have made over the 18 years we have belonged as well as all the places we have seen to which we would not ordinarily go. Barbara Reed: I really enjoy the Sun Lakes RV Club. This is a collection of Sun Lakes neighbors who have many things in common - most importantly camping. We play games, golf, eat together and enjoy each other's company. I enjoy that everyone is welcome. Okay - this is just a few of our wonderful members and their feelings about our club. So if you would like to know about our next rally to the Fortuna de Oro RV resort in Yuma, Arizona March 25 - 30, call trail boss Ken Hurley at 909-648-9889. He will be happy to discuss the numerous amenities Fortuna de Oro offers its guests. RV Club
