The February meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 10 am in the
Lodge Ballroom if the repairs are complete. If not, the presentation
will be in the RCN lobby.
Chris Harwood of the city of Beaumont Animal Control will be the
speaker. He will cover wild animals in our area, keeping dogs on a
leash, and making sure our animals are chipped and licensed.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this informative
presentation. As always, we appreciate the city of Beaumont and
its different departments in supporting our Neighborhood Watch
Program.
Remember, if you see something, say something. It is important to
be aware of what is occurring in our community. Neighbors reporting
suspicious activities to the police are important to the safety of our
community. Getting descriptions of suspicious vehicles and their
occupants are helpful to the police, but please do not follow vehicles
around and confront the occupants. That can be a very dangerous
situation and the conformation could result in injuries.
Please do not confront the persons you suspect of suspicious
activities. Beaumont Police Department officers will respond to our
calls for service, and they are trained and equipped to deal with these
circumstances.
In the event you call the police, also call the Lodge attendant to
make them aware of the circumstances and let your block captain
know also.
Thank you to all of the block captains for making Neighborhood
Watch successful. ~ Jerry Monahan
