22 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2018 | Marketing Advisory Committee Introducing the 2018 Committee members: Helen Browning, Dave Huetten, Larry James, Cathy Leogrande, Pat Pinz, Sandy Richman and Clark Robinson. Liaisons to the Committee: Dan Comerford, Master Board, Charlye Sessner, PCM Representative. Meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 2 pm in the Administration Office. News for this month includes reminding all residents that the new ID cards are in process along with the Age Verification Form. Reminder that the new Permanent Guest List for each household will be five. Golf Advisory Committee The Tee Box 'Fore' Sun Lakers. Winter is tough on our golf courses. Dormant grasses showing through the patches of green cool grasses, and deciduous trees without leaves are not pleasing to the eye. With only four inches of rain, and dry winds, it is difficult to keep the courses looking beautiful. Winter will end, temperatures will rise, grass will grow, and leaves will flourish on our trees. Be patient. A correction from the January Tee Times: overseeding cost approximately $100,000. We have not overseeded the past few years. We spend the $100,000 on other projects; we do not save that amount. Sorry I misstated this fact. Pass Putters started last month. The first competition was Feb. 9. Be sure to sign up for future events in the Pro Shop. Annual memberships and 30 play cards are selling well. You must buy an annual membership before April 1. You may buy any number of 30 play cards. Both are good deals, take advantage of them. Gentle Reminder: Range balls and range baskets should not be removed from the practice ranges. Please do not keep either one in your golf cart. An observation: How quickly our carts destroy the grass area to the right of Hole 16. It could not be helped, but we can remind ourselves to stay on the cart paths when possible. Even when you park near the greens, or go around curves, stay completely on the paths. There will be less damage to the turf, and we will not have to put rock areas next to the cart paths. Thanks. See you on the courses! The GAC
