44 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2018 | Int'l Culture Club Calling all lads and lassies here at Sun Lakes who enjoy celebrating St. Pat's Day. We have a fun evening planned for you, wearing of the green, dancing to the Showdown Band, and dining on a delicious dinner buffet of all you can eat corned beef and cabbage with all the customary fixings. Doors to the Ballroom open at 5:30 pm on the second Thursday evening in March. You will be welcomed by Evelyn Hawkins and Martie Steggell, our club President and Vice President. You will find a pre-set dinner salad with tomatoes/red onion rings, cucumber, with ranch and Italian dressing and sourdough rolls with butter on your table. The dinner buffet starts at 6:30 pm by table call and is generally over by 7:30 pm. Featured are boiled red new potatoes, green beans almondine and chicken Florentine. You will be served bread pudding with Irish whiskey sauce for dessert. Water and coffee are also table served and iced tea is on a side board. You can sign up for this evening on the first Thursday afternoon in March at the North Clubhouse at 3 pm, $25 for club members and $27 for a non-resident guest. You can join the club at sign up by bringing separate checks of $25 each for membership and a check for the event. If you find that you need to cancel by the Sunday afternoon after sign-up, you can telephone Carol Hurt at 769-9315 and she can return your check. Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers would like to send a special "thank you" to Evelyn Hawkins for inviting us to perform at her "Island Paradise Fashion Show" this past month. We would like to invite you to our "FREE" Hawaiian classes. Please come by on Wednesdays from 10 to 12 noon at the North Clubhouse and Saturdays 8 to 10 am at the Main Clubhouse.
