FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2018 49 Our Curly Cues have had a busy month, hard to believe it's already March. Time flies when you're having fun and we always have fun. We welcome all you ladies to come join us! We play two sessions on Mondays from 11 am to 1 pm or 1 to 3 pm, whichever fits your schedule. Partners are selected by pulling peas (numbers) to determine who will partner up for that day's play. This is a great way to get to know one another and avoid anyone feeling left out. Our 1st quarterly tournament was held on Jan. 22 and what a good time we had! Our top team from our first session was Teri Martin and Bonnie McKenna, second session was Joy Collins and Bev Lunetta. Congrats to our overall winners Teri and Bonnie. New members this month are Jane Slamer, Sandy Dwyer, and Tracey Laykoff. Our group is growing in popularity, so don't miss out. We are willing to teach those who have never played or need help. Hope to see you soon! ~ O'Leta Ramirez and Pat Semler Cues 4 Two is a billiards group for couples. We play on Thursdays from 6 to 8 pm. Our group is expanding rapidly and we may add another session from 4 to 6 pm in order to accommodate everyone. We currently have about 12-13 couples, our newest members are Jim and Bonnie McKenna and Tom and Jane Slamer. What fun it is watching the husbands and wives play partners. The women don't like to be told how to shoot by their husbands and are constantly telling them to be quiet, just like being at home. Lots of joking around and calling for a mediator to interject. Our first quarterly tournament will be on March 8 and should be very interesting. Cues 4 Two is hosted by Johnny and Leta Ramirez (626) 695-0798 and Bob and Pat Semler (714) 325-5280. Please feel free to call if you have questions. We would love to have you come join the fun! ~ O'Leta Ramirez and Pat Semler Curly Cues Cues For Two The "Wild Bunch" 8-Ball Billiards group is geared for those individuals who want to play competitively with those of their skill level. We started the new year with inviting the "best of the best" from Sun Lakes to play in competition on Fridays, from 1 to 3:30 pm in our Billiards Room at Four Seasons. It has been a great success with the skill levels ranging from level four to level seven. The "Wild Bunch" consists of some of the best players in the league: Calvin Moore, Joe Spinella, Lucas Don, Robert Turner, Pete Antoine, Mike Corbett, Carlos Rivera, LeRoy Wright and Gracy Luna. If you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room and join in the stimulation of competitive play. We do not play with partners; we play one-on-one with an opponent of your skill level. We are always looking for those who want to play competitively and, who knows, you just may want to change up your game and play on the team. And, most important, we have a good time! ~ Gracy Luna Wild Bunch Billiards L-R: Teri Martin, Bonnie McKenna, Joy Collins, & Bev Lunetta Bonnie McKenna & Teri Martin strategizing.
