50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2018 TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) is here at Four Seasons and we have a great group of men and women who are here to provide support and encouragement to help you reach your weight loss goal. Our programs include discussions regarding nutrition, motivation, health, fitness and other related topics. A lot of our members have reached their goal and are enjoying their new lifestyle changes to maintain their weight. The month of January our biggest losers were Charles Caldera and Laurie Larson. TOPS is also very affordable with a yearly membership fee of $32 which includes a great magazine every two months plus $3 chapter dues per month. We meet at the Lodge on Tuesday mornings with weigh-in from 8 to 8:30 and the meeting 8:30 to 9:30. You may attend one meeting with no obligation. You really should come and see what we are all about. You have nothing to lose but maybe a little weight. For more information please contact our chapter leader and Four Seasons resident, Cathy Calhoun at (951) 849-2614 or Rosalee Strong, TOPS Area Captain at (951) 845-9313. ~ Cheryl Burke TOPS Kiwanis Club of Beaumont The Kiwanis Annual Breakfast was a great success. We served lots of eggs, sausages and pancakes. Thanks to all who attended and supported our breakfast and fundraiser. We have given the Kiwanis Scholarship Applications to Beaumont High School. Students will be able to apply for the scholarships. All scholarship applications will be reviewed by the Kiwanis Scholarship Committee. The scholarships will be awarded May 17 at Beaumont High School at Senior Awards Night. We are also working on our 13th Annual Cherry Fest Car & Motorcycle Show which will be held May 26 at Stewart Park at Ninth & Orange in Beaumont. Entry forms may be obtained online at www. beaumontcherryfestival.org, or SoCal Car Culture. The Cherry Fest Car and Motorcycle Show is one of our biggest fundraisers. Last year we had 175 cars on display and several motorcycles. Several hundred people came out to view the cars and motorcycles. We are looking for new members. The more members we have, the more services we can provide the community, helping the children of the world and the community of Beaumont. The Beaumont Kiwanis Club meets in the Lodge Conference Room every Thursday except for the first Thursday of the month. The meeting starts at 6:30 pm. Many of the members come early and order at the Bistro and eat prior to the meeting. You do not need to be a resident of Four Seasons to be a Kiwanis member. For further information, Call Buzz Dopf at (909) 208-0880. Hope to see you soon! ~ Buzz Dopf
