34 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2018 Counter Culture Cinema Come join us for two really interesting small films that didn't play at any of the cinemas anywhere near here. One of them is currently nominated for an Academy Award! Our first monthly screening, on Sunday, March 11 at 6 pm, is the Oscar-nominated film Loving Vincent (Poland 2017, 1 hr. 34 min., English). Here is a brief description from IMDb.com: "In a story depicted in oil painted animation, a young man comes to the last hometown of painter Vincent van Gogh to deliver the troubled artist's final letter and ends up investigating his final days there. As he digs further, he comes to realize that Vincent's troubled life is as much a matter of interpretation as his paintings, and there are no easy answers for a man whose work and tragedy would only be truly appreciated in the future." Our second monthly screening, on Sunday, March 25 at 6 pm, is the film Paris Can Wait (USA 2016, 1 hr. 32 min., English). Here is a brief description from IMDb.com: "Anne is at a crossroads in her life. Long married to a successful, driven but inattentive movie producer, she unexpectedly finds herself taking a car trip from Cannes to Paris with a business associate of her husband. What should be a seven-hour drive turns into a carefree two-day adventure replete with diversions involving picturesque sights, fine food and wine, humor, wisdom and romance, reawakening Anne's senses and giving her a new lust for life." All of our screenings are followed by lively discussion about the film; we'd love to have you join us. The Lodge Theatre has very limited seating, so if you're interested in our screenings, come early; we hope to see you there. Please note that all films announced are subject to availability. If you have any questions about the Counter Culture Cinema Club or want to recommend a film, please email Micki Rosen at michelesrosen@ gmail.com. ~ Micki Rosen The Computer Technology Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am in the RCN building. We try to announce the current month's subject via email before the meeting. We encourage discussion and suggestions for future meetings. Topics vary monthly. We try to present instruction, hints, tips and tricks for the currently popular devices and applications. Come on out and learn some valuable stuff for your devices. ~ Howard Lyon Computer Technology We are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, March 28 and are hoping that the Ballroom renovations are done and we can move ahead with our 2018 schedule.
