I am very sure that March and April will pack punches of fun in the form of great entertainment for you. All at no charge! On Saturday, March 3, 6:30 pm, we'll present two new Radio Shows for your enjoyment. One is a Tom Mix cowboy plot and the other is "Easy Aces," about a husband, wife and the wife's brother. It's similar to a "Burns & Allen Show," where the wife is a bit ditzy and loaded with laughs galore. They are reminiscent of life in the 1920s - 1940s, when families would gather around the radio anxiously waiting for their favorite shows to be broadcast. We also incorporate sound effects into our shows, keeping them just like the originals. The best way to enjoy the Radio Shows is with your favorite beverage and listening with your eyes closed. Next is our "You Know You're Old... Comedy & Talent Show" on Friday, April 27, and Saturday, April 28. It will be comprised of funny skits, songs, stand-up comedy and more. Free tickets will be available in early April at the Lodge. John Horning, Producer, has years of proving he really knows how to put on a fabulous comedy show. If you're interested in the "You Know You're Old..." show, please contact John at (323) 253-3854. ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman 40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2018 Performing Arts Club SPOTLIGHT ON: Alberta "Bertsy" Seim, Pianist for The Four Season Singers: Raised in a family that had an appreciation for music and playing instruments, Bertsy started formal piano lessons in third grade. As an accomplished pianist, she became an accompanist for her high school and church. For 35 years, after college, Bertsy and her husband, Jim, entered church ministry, where she was frequently asked to serve as pianist for her church and choir. Once her children were raised, she returned to being an elementary school teacher, where she continued to be the pianist for many school programs. In 2008, the Seim's moved to Four Seasons to start retirement. About two years later, a friend suggested to Bertsy that she volunteer to be the Four Seasons Singers Choir accompanist. In Bertsy's own words, "We were a small group then and it has been a pleasure to watch our growth in numbers and musicianship. With Barbara Wasco as Director, Anne Savy on flute and now Lois Farr on violin, adds to the joy I experience. We are so blessed by the appreciative audience of our Four Seasons friends and neighbors." A huge thank you to Bertsy from the Choir and Performing Arts Club. Don't miss these great events! The Radio Show on March 3 and The Comedy & Talent Show "You Know You're Old"on April 26 & 27
