44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2018 Our book for the month of March is Still Life by Louise Penny. Still Life is the first in a series of 13 highly acclaimed, best-selling mysteries featuring Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Süreté du Québec. The Inspector and his team of investigators are called to the scene of a suspicious death in a rural village south of Montreal. Jane Neal, a long-time resident of Three Pines, has been found dead in the woods. The locals are certain it's a tragic hunting accident and nothing more; however, Gamache is soon certain that Jane died at the hands of someone much more sinister than a careless bow hunter. Join us on Tuesday, March 13 at 9:30 am in the Lodge Conference Room. April's selection is Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. For more information about the Book Club, please contact Doreen Sanders at (951) 769-1913. ~ Joyce Bricker Book Club Library news When you read do you think, "I could write better than that?" If you do, you could be a writer and don't know it, yet! Maybe you could write the book better than the author you're reading. You won't know until you try! The Writer's Club is for you and others who need encouragement, direction and fellowship toward attaining individual writing goals. Just like there are different types of books, there are different kinds of authors. Our next meeting is March 13 at 1:30 pm somewhere in the Lodge. We will be debriefing the meet and greet the club hosted on Feb. 28 among other agenda items. Join us and begin your writing saga. ~ Karla Noonan Writer's Club As our library continues to grow, we are making some necessary changes. Large print books, biographies and memoirs, non-fiction, reference and audio books will have their own sections. We had a large stock of audio books, but they have all been taken… these are popular so please return these after use. Since our space is limited, we are no longer accepting cookbooks. We are now displaying the magazines on a table rather than a shelf in order to make more shelf space for our books. We ask that magazine donations be only for this current year and we're not accepting catalog donations. We are hoping that these changes will make our library more user friendly. A cart is provided for returns and we ask that you use the cart and not put books on the shelves. We are so fortunate to have such a well stocked library and we thank you all for your donations and timely return of books! ~ Dave and Maryalice Chorba
