The Fine Art Show: Sat., March 17 from 11 am to 3 pm, in the Ballroom. This event marks the 12th year for our Fine Art Show. If you want to display your original fine art, jewelry, or other art works to sell, you need to sign up now. There is a $10 table fee. We advertise and promote it, and still have space available. A donation of a piece of art for the drawing would be appreciated. Sign-up sheets will be in the Art & Craft Room. Four Seasons art works will be on view to discuss with the artists and for you to make your purchases. Refreshments, door prizes and drawings will happen during the show. This Saturday event is open to all, so bring family and friends and enjoy the our local talent. The annual Four Seasons Art Project will also be on a table for everyone to dabble in the arts. Our project this year is a big paint by number canvas, which we will hang in our Lodge hallway. This is a fun way for those who say "I cant draw a stick figure" to come and help create a Four Seasons masterpiece. Glass Fusion Jewelry Class: Third Class - Sat., March 10, from 1 to 2:30 pm. Back by popular demand and on a Saturday. This class our guest instructor, Dawn Woodruff, will show you how to create your own glass fused pendant. All supplies included from glass to finished necklace for $10. This includes the necklace cord to hang it on. You may make another piece for an additional $5. Everyone who has taken it has gotten really creative and none look alike. You may create a third item for an additional $6. Dawn will take your creations and fire them and return them a few days later. Sign- up in the Art Room. Hurry this class fills up fast! Cash preferred. The Gallery And Cabinet: The March/April Show displays the talent of Four Seasons who have taken an art class to learn or improve their talents. Please stop by and admire their first time work or their continued learning process. Plein Air Painting Workshop: Plein air painting means you go outside and paint landscapes views. This workshop will start in April and we will gather outside in a designated spot on Wednesday mornings. Andre Lohnert, a resident artist will be painting with us and can answer our questions. If you are interested, there will be a sign-up sheet in the Art Room. Beginners welcome. This class will fill up fast so sign up soon! $35 fee applies and includes all the supplies to complete your painting in one night. From 820 entries submitted by 300 artists to the annual art competition Yosemite Renaissance 33, a work titled "Cathedral" by Andre Lohnert, a Four Seasons resident, was among 66 pieces selected by the jury. They will be exhibited at the Yosemite Museum until May 6, 2018.
