Happy spring! My name is Kona (aka Noriko's Can't Hold Her
Licker). I am a 3½ year old Standard Poodle and I LOVE being
pink! Thank goodness my mommy is a professional groomer and
she knows how to do this kind of stuff. Everything she uses on me is
totally non-toxic and pet approved, so I know it will not hurt me. I am
an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen as well as a Therapy
Dog International Certified Therapy Dog. It makes me so happy to
see the smiles on people's faces when the "Pink Poodle" arrives at the
medical offices.
The big guy to my right is my nephew, Jagger, (aka Noriko's It's Only
Rock n' Roll), the newest addition to the family. He's only 10 months
old and he may be bigger than me, but I still rule the household! He
listens pretty well and is working on his self-control so he can be a
therapy dog, like me, but he still needs some fine-tuning. I'm sure he
will do just fine, as he is a real social butterfly.
Our favorite pastimes are playing with balls, frisbees and other
assorted toys. Dad keeps us well supplied with those things. When
the weather is good we enjoy taking our mom and dad (Teri and Jeff
Davidson) for walks around Four Seasons and we love taking rides
in the car regardless of the destination. We really like short rides
around town so we can hang our heads out the windows and look
for our friends in other cars, something we can't do on the freeways.
But what we really enjoy is our time on our boat out at the river. We
love the water, and the sandy beaches where we can run and play all
day while Mom and Dad sit and watch us while drinking their beer.
Making friends is high on our priority list and even strangers can
approach or pet us without concern. If you see us out and about,
