8 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2018 | We will begin our 2018 Street Rehab Project for designated Districts and streets this month. Please note the following: • Gate 1 and Country Club Drive, through to Augusta Way will be completely CLOSED to all traffic from Mon., April 9 to Wed., April 11 between 7 am and 5 pm. • Gate 5 will be completely closed on Wed., April 4 and Tues., May 8, from 7 am to 5 pm. Please notify your service vendors or contractors to enter through the main Gate 1 on these days. • Gate 3 will be completely closed on Fri., May 11, 7 am to 5 pm All residents whose streets are scheduled for repairs and closures this year, have been notified by mail with a letter listing the dates that their streets will be under construction. The street repair contractor, Premier Paving will begin construction on Mon., April 2. We anticipate completions for all repairs in about six weeks, ending on or near May 15. Complications due to weather or unforeseen issue may add unexpected delays, extending the completion date. We will do everything possible to try and mitigate any issues as much as possible. Thank you for your cooperation and again we apologize for any inconvenience. ~ Mark Schleiden, Director of Operations 2018 Street Rehab Project Schedule PROPOSED RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION # 18-03 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association General Statement of Rules and Regulations (revised Feb. 1, 2018 edition), that appears on the Association's website (sunlakescc.com) and are available in the administration office (please reference ARTICLE VI – Recreation Facilities Rules and Regulations, Section 6.01 General Rules), at its February 28, 2018 Open Session meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its May 23, 2018 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the April 2018 edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect June 1, 2018. PURPOSE: To reduce the inconvenience to the surrounding homes in regards to noise, by not allowing music on the patio of both the North and South Clubhouses. EFFECT: This new rule will prohibit music of any nature (i.e. Bands, DJ, amplified musical instruments) that can be heard by the surrounding homes, from being played on the patio at both the North and South Clubhouses. Due to the proximity of the patio at both the North and South Clubhouses to the surrounding residential homes, music of any type is strictly prohibited. All music must take place inside the Clubhouse Multipurpose Room with the doors closed and have prior approval by the Recreation Department. Proposed Rule Change Concerning Sound on the NCH and SCH Patios ATTENTION RESIDENTS: Town Hall Regarding Rule Change On Speeding/Reckless Driving Town hall meetings have been scheduled on April 3 at 6 pm and April 4 at 10:30 am. Both Meetings will be conducted in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. These meetings are being held to review proposed rule change 18-05 that pertains to enforcement procedures relating to speeding and reckless driving.
