FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK
Happy Easter to all! Hopefully we get a spring season and do not
go straight to summer as we have in the past. Now is a time of new
flowerings, green grass and new beginnings.
For the Board it is the beginning of the budget process. Yes, we
have to start this early. The department managers have to give us
their budgets for 2019. We need to review the reports from our
reserve analysts, the year-end reports from our accountants, and
we need to analyze the results of current year's budget. This whole
process takes about six months. We will be working closely with our
management team as well as the Finance Advisory Committee.
We have new and seasoned committee members, as well as
delegates and alternate delegates. I want to personally thank all of
you for your time and dedication to Sun Lakes. Without your help
and support, Sun Lakes would quickly become old and stale.
To our management team and staff, thank you for a job well
done! You try to accommodate the resident's ideas for new and fresh
activities, while completing your expected everyday work schedule.
As far as the Board, we are still the same, but always open to new
ideas and available to the residents. Much to my surprise, no one
other than the incumbents turned in paperwork to run for the Board.
Hopefully this is not a sign of the future.
Food for thought:
The smile on my face doesn't mean my life is perfect.
It means I appreciate what I have and what I have been
blessed with.
