6 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | APRIL 2018 | For the past three years, in the spring, we have put on our "Taste of Elegance." This is a fundraiser to help support charities in our community. This will be our fourth year for "Taste of Elegance," and we have chosen two charities for this year: The Assistance League of Hemacinto and Valley Restart Shelter in Hemet. You will find articles on page 7 from these two charities so that you can get to know them better. Tickets are on sale now at the front desk for this event. Don't miss out on all the fun! We have scheduled some "Senior Enrichment Seminars" that will provide interesting and valuable information. The first seminar is on April 2 at 1 pm in the Ballroom. The subject matter is "STRETCHING." The guest speakers are physical therapists, Shawn Troutman and Branden Schaidt. This seminar is sponsored by Rancho Family Medical Group and All Star Physical Therapy and is FREE. Come dressed in comfy clothes and be prepared to learn about the value of stretching. There will be a Q & A session after. Attention Golfers: the physical therapist are bringing their own equipment and will choose a few lucky individuals to test and analyze their golf swing and give tips on how to reduce pain and improve your swing. Additional information on page 4. We have a Bus Excursion coming up in August to the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna. This excursion goes on sale on June 11 at 12 noon. This is limited to 53 seats and will sell out fast so be sure to get your tickets as soon as available. The price will be $107 per person. More information will be coming to you in the next two months. I hope you have had a chance to look at the line up for Music on the Plaza this year. I think we have some GREAT groups coming and you don't want to miss anything. The next music will be April 24. This will be in the Ballroom, due to the nature of the entertainment. It will be "The Killer Dueling Pianos." If you have seen this duo before, you know what you are in for and how much fun it can be. If you haven't, you are in for a big FUN surprise. This is an ALL-Request show covering all genres. Bring your money for tips/requests (there can be a bidding war) and be prepared for some adult-oriented entertainment (don't worry, no nudity involved). Even though this is in the ballroom, it is still just $5per person and bring-your-own- everything. I hope to see you at each of these events. Remember, if you have any suggestions or questions about any of these events, just ask. Finally, a resident made a suggestion that I think is a great idea — what do you think? I am going to start a FUNNY PET OF THE MONTH photo corner. Send me a picture of your pet doing something especially goofy/funny/humorous. Be sure to include your pet's name and your name. Your pet just might be chosen as FUNNY PET OF THE MONTH. Can't wait to see what you turn in. See you around the Lodge. Activities Director's Message By Louise Ceccarelli
