Spring has come to Four Seasons at Beaumont and it looks like we may have seen the last of rain (and snow in some Four Seasons neighborhoods!) for this year. As summer comes closer, it is time to think about increased activity and more guests visiting our wonderful community. Yes, we are proud of where we live and like to show it off (I know that I do) but there are rules that must be followed. Our Community Guidelines address the rules pertaining to facility guests. A guest must be accompanied by a Four Seasons resident and all residents and guests must register with the staff when first entering the facility. Six guests are permitted, per day, per household. Guests under the age of 18 are considered children and a guest 18 or older is an adult. Any guests not officially registered will be requested to log in and will be asked to leave if he or she refuses. Residents are responsible for their guests and their behavior. Guests may use the pool, the Bistro, the Salon and attend private parties in facility rooms. However, they may not use the workout room, locker room, indoor showers and the computer room. They may not participate in any Association sponsored fitness programs. You may not lend key fobs, IDs and equipment to any non-residents. If they are discovered, they must be surrendered immediately to the staff. Why do we need to make sure that only residents and guests are accessing the facilities? Since home shoppers are admitted to see the models, we need to make sure that members of the general public will not be using our facilities without permission. There are also additional rules for guests using the pool. There must be at least one adult to accompany and supervise each group of three or fewer guests under the age of 18 at all times while in the Lodge pool and spa pool area. But (spoiler alert!) this may be an article for an upcoming edition of the Breeze. So let's enjoy the beautiful season and let our guests see Four Seasons at its springtime best. And if you have some time, come to a Rules & Regulations Committee meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 9 am in the RCN Conference Room. All residents are welcome to join us. ~ Margie Chadburn Rules & Regulations committee The blossoms are on the trees, it's warming up and it's time to really enjoy our gardens and the beautiful landscaping we have here in Four Seasons. Your Landscape Committee is out every Friday morning walking our community and monitoring our landscape for any problem areas. We work with our three vendors: Artistic Maintenance, Park West Companies, and O'Connell Landscape, to address issues in HOA maintained areas. There was some frost damage to our landscaping and, for many plants, pruning back the damage will allow them to return to health. Working with our vendors and Jeff Jordan of FirstService, the committee has also worked to identify plants that need replacement, in some instances choosing plant material that may fare better in the coming years. As always in our dry climate, we should all continue to be water-wise. For the front yards that are part of the HOA cost center, please let the lobby desk know if you see any irrigation problems, including broken sprinklers or flooded areas. Many times, the drains and front yards show pooling water that is the result of overwatering in a homeowner's backyard. Surprisingly, more plants are killed by over watering than by under watering and our systems need to be seasonally adjusted to meet the demands of our highly variable climate. Homeowner concerns related to the landscaping in HOA maintained areas can be addressed by contacting FirstService or in person at our monthly meeting. We meet the third Tuesday of every month and anyone interested is welcome to join us. ~ Mona Swinehart Landscape Committee FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2018 21
