FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2018 25
This committee is making good progress in meeting its
objective to carefully plan the HOA takeover from K. Hovnanian
which is anticipated to occur at the conclusion of 2019. The
committee received the formal Parking Lot study report which will
be turned over to the Board for review and then on to the Facilities
Committee for action. Additionally, the committee received an
update about the progress on the dog park installation. Further, a
presentation regarding amphitheater modifications will be made
to an ad hoc task force formed to review this project. An initial
meeting was scheduled to begin formulating an HOA master plan.
We welcome homeowners' interest. Our meetings are at 9 am on
the fourth Thursday of the month in the RCN Conference Room.

We're in our third month of inspecting, measuring, and
documenting the cracks in the community sidewalks. So far, we've
found 3,249 cracks that are over one inch long. The longest so far
is 146 inches! This one alarmed us and we contacted the USGA
and the California Quake Society as we suspect this may be an
undiscovered fault.
We are in need of more committee members. It's a lot of fun
and you will enjoy wearing the specially designed hats made out of
newspaper and twine. The group meets at the Lodge at 8 am and
each person is assigned a "Crack Buddy" and a designated area to
inspect. When you find a crack in the sidewalk, one person is to
yell "Crack Crack, Don't Be A Jack!" and the other person twirls
around while blowing an airhorn, alerting those in the vicinity to
the discovery. The crack is then measured for length and girth,
inspected for plant growth and noted in the Crack Journal.
We are currently working
on an app that can be used
by every resident in Four
Seasons so they can find,
photograph and document
sidewalk cracks as they find
them. ~ Stacey Parr
