FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2018 43 We gathered at Sandy Barletta's lovely home to celebrate the last night of Passover on April 6. Traditional foods were brought by all. Instead of the traditional four questions, four modern questions were asked and created a lively discussion with multiple responses from the participants. The Chavurah is pleased to show the "Women's Balcony," an Israeli film, as our selection on May 20. To change it up a bit the Chavurah will provide coffee, tea, and other drinks, and ask that you bring a dessert to share. Since the third Sunday of June is Father's Day we will be meeting on the Saturday before, to do a "Trivia Event" with questions on multiple areas. Please feel free to attend any of our events. The Chavurah is open to ALL Four Season residents. If you have any questions or suggestions for future events, contact Nancy Justice at (951) 769-5804. ~ Nancy Justice Chavurah (Ha-Vu-Rah) Jewish Social Club Bereavement Group The Bereavement Group has been in existence for five years. I cannot believe it has been so long, but it has. And I feel very fortunate to have had the privilege of getting to know so many wonderful people who have come and listened and shared and cried a little and laughed a lot. I began the group in order to share my journey through grief and to give others hope. I am happier now than I ever thought possible, given all of the loss I endured in the few years before moving to Four Seasons Beaumont. And I thought, "if I can do it, they can do it." And I was so right. The end of April was a good time to close the group for a while. The current members were ready to move on, no one new had just joined us, and I was going to be traveling. I'm not quite sure when we will resume, but we will. Most likely in September. In the meantime, if you have loss in your life, remember that everyone heals at their own pace, that crying or not crying is individual and not a gauge of healing, that you may and you should ask for help and not worry that you are bothering someone, that you will have myriad feelings at the same time, and finally, that you are going through an extremely distressing time. Be kind to yourself. MAY YOU BE FREE MAY YOU FIND PEACE MAY YOU HAVE GRACE AND COURAGE ~ Laurie Larson
