46 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2018 We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the RCN Main Lobby Room; thus, our May meeting will be May 15. For our March meeting, the genre was portraiture. I showed pictures of the grandkids taken at my house a few months ago using a white backdrop with four strobe lights and two soft boxes as light modifiers thus temporarily converting our dining room environment of our home into a studio environment. We discussed how this completely controls the lighting portion of the photography equation. In addition, our chairperson, Irve Sturner, showed some YouTube presentations on portraiture tips and tricks for best results. Our April meeting had not yet been held at the time of this writing, but the assignment was composition when taking pictures. I'll report on this topic next month. Visitors are always welcome. We invite all photographers, regardless of skill level, to join us for our regular meetings, workshops, in-house hardware and software demonstrations, guest speakers, field trips, and more. We hope to see you soon. ~ Lyle Cameron CAMERA CLUB The singers have started our preparations for the May Performing Arts Club Show, I'm Glad I'm Not Young Anymore.
