Things are progressing in 2018. May is already here and all the requested improvements
to our horseshoe venue have been completed. Now it is time to start planning for our 2nd
Quarter Tournaments. Doubles competition is May 23 with Singles competition on May 30.
We play every Wednesday at 9 am at the Summit and anyone at all interested in joining our
club, as well as spectators are always welcome. Our monthly social event for April, consisting
of dinner at the Bistro followed by dessert and general socializing at a member's home, was
hosted by Harry and Andi Henderson.

Horseshoe Club
After our weigh-in, Vivian Walker explained the origins of our
organization: how a simple woman, 70 years ago, became tired of her
lifestyle and her constant battle with weight. She and a few friends got
together and decided to make a change. They met once a week to weigh.
They encouraged each other and it worked. TOPS International was born.
After our motivational speaker, we celebrated St. Pat's day with small
"green" gifts made by Vivian, and made plans for sensible eating for next
week.
The following meeting our speaker, Marjorie Melendez, shared
important information about probiotics and prebiotics.
