With spring upon us we have been very fortunate to have perfect riding weather, around 70 degrees with very little wind — perfect. Recent rides have included a ride around the Salton Sea. This included a stop at a Mexican restaurant near Brawley. We also rode recently to Julian. This is one of our favorite rides because it's so scenic. We tried a new place for lunch; a pizza eatery just outside Julian and it was excellent. More recently we rode to Palm Desert for breakfast then headed back going up to Idyllwild via Hwy. 74 and dropping down into Banning via Pine Cove. This is a very popular motorcycle route because of the beautiful scenery and the winding highway. We have a mixed bag of motorcycles in our group. Some have large touring bikes, others have adventure class rides and others have sport bikes. Regardless of what you ride, it's all about friends riding together and sharing the love of riding. So, if you are interested in joining our group, it really doesn't matter what you ride. Those in our group who prefer to zip through a winding highway, like the ride over to Idyllwild, usually take off to enjoy the faster ride. The rest of us who prefer to take in the beautiful scenery take at a slightly slower pace. Regardless, we always end up meeting up at our predetermined rest stops. We always emphasize safety and not exceeding the limit of each person's riding ability. So, if you ride and have been wondering if you will be a good fit for the MC, the answer is "Yes!" By the way, three wheelers are welcome too. Chuck Price rides a Harley Davidson Tri- Glide and Ron Morgan rides a CanAm Spyder. And speaking of Ron, he drew quite a crowd on our recent ride around the Salton Sea. We stopped at Salvation Mountain in Niland, which is somewhat of a popular tourist stop. Well there happened to be a group of young ladies there from China taking in the sights. They couldn't keep their hands off of Ron's CanAm (not Ron).
