| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2018 | 25 This group is designed to provide emotional support to any resident mourning the death of a spouse, relationship, child, parent, or beloved pet. We gather together as "hearts with ears" in absolute confidentiality in a safe shared place where strangers may become friends. Each of us is unique; our grief cannot be identical to any other, and the way to get to the other side of your grief is to "go through." We cannot criticize or judge. The meetings are every Saturday morning in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room from 9:30 to 11:30 am. For more information, you may call Barbara Searcy at 663-3382. Bereavement Group May's General Meeting is Thurs., May 24 at 2 pm at the South Clubhouse. Sun Lakes fiber artist Christina Smithberg will demonstrate Felting. All interested Sun Lakers are welcome to attend. Bhadraji Jayatilaka demonstrated his watercolor technique at the April General Meeting and will now teach a series of three classes in Watercolor and Specific Drawing Techniques on May 7, 14 and 21. The classes will be held in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts from 9 am to 12 noon. The total cost for the three classes is $30 for members/$35 for non-members. Please contact Nancy Watterson at 797-3550 to sign up or for more information. Beginners are welcome in this or any other class or workshop that the Art League has. The winners of the mini-show at the March meeting are pictured above. The Best of Show was chosen by Steve McGill, the demo artist at the meeting. The other winners were chosen by all those at the meeting. The Art League's Annual Potluck Dinner will take place on Wednesday, May 16, at the South Clubhouse. All club members and their guests are invited to bring their best dish to share with others. More information to come! The dues for 2018 are $20.
