46 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2018 | Bible Study Our Bible study group is non-denominational. All are welcome. We meet together every week for fellowship and study. On the first Wednesday of each month we meet for dinner before our regular meeting. Reservations for dinner are taken in the meeting the last Wednesday of each month. Bring your Bible, any version, and listen to or participate in our discussion of the evening topic. We're all learning together. We'd be delighted if you'd join us. We meet Wednesdays at 7 pm in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue! 'Tis the month for weddings — a niece in Cincinnati, a cousin in Spokane, a Prince in England, and a son in Las Vegas. The families gather for simple backyard ceremonies or travel to exotic destinations for celebrations. A memorable beginning on a journey through life together brings families from all over to the main event. Records are kept for these marriages for years and years in safe keeping in the county registers. So when we write our family history stories we need to research those important documents. Many are now listed online and we need to know where to connect for the information. Our meeting is Wed., June 27 in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room at 1 pm. The guest speaker is Jean Wilcox Hibben, a professional genealogist who is very versed in knowing where to find marriage records. Please join us for the afternoon and bring your questions for Jean. Information, Emily Post, 769-4454. Genealogical Society Some Sun Lakes folks like to write, re-write, edit, and discuss many topics of interest to themselves and each other. We meet in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room on the first Monday and the third Wednesday of the month from 3 to 5 pm. Join us; bring something you've written, an idea of something you'd like to write, or just come in and get acquainted. Oh, by the way, there are no annual dues, so there is no need to budget anything more than your time. We look forward to seeing you and sharing our time together. ~ Larry Smiley If you need additional information, contact Roger Smith at 769-2808.
