8 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2018 | PROPOSED RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION # 18-09 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association General Statement of Rules and Regulations (revised February 1, 2018 edition), that appears on the Association's website (sunlakescc. com) and are available in the administration office (please reference ARTICLE VIII – Golf Course Rules and Regulations for Both the Championship and Executive Courses and Facilities, Rule #1), at its April 25, 2018 Open Session meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its July 25, 2018 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the June 2018 edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect August 1, 2018. PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to clarify two common practices on the golf courses. These practices are not found in written form in our rules. EFFECT: By adding these two practices to the written golf rules, we will be able to refer golfers to Rule 1, if they question or violate what is commonly accepted on our courses. Strikethrough = Text to be deleted Bold, Italic and Underlined Text = Text to be added ARTICLE VIII – GOLF COURSE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR BOTH THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND EXECUTIVE COURSES AND FACILITIES 1. All golfers must check in at the Pro Shop prior to teeing off. Groups of five or less are acceptable on the courses. Groups of more than five, and special event groups must have Pro Shop approval prior to teeing off. A reasonable and expected golf round time is 4 hours and 15 minutes on the Championship Course, and 3 hours and 15 minutes on the Executive Course. PROPOSED RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION # 18-04 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association General Statement of Rules and Regulations (revised December 2017 edition), that appears on the Association's website (sunlakescc.com) and are available in the administration office (please reference ARTICLE III RESIDENT REGISTRATION, at its January 24, 2018 Open Session meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its April 25, 2018 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the March edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect May 1, 2018. At the April 25, 2018 Open Session Meeting, the Board directed staff to amend the proposed rule change and repost it in the June edition of Lifestyles. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment, as it appears in the June 2018 Lifestyles, at its July 25, 2018 Open Session Meeting. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect August 1, 2018. PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to encourage homeowners to update their Resident Information Forms in a timely manner. EFFECT: The effect of the rule change, if adopted, will allow clarification for the association and its membership for enforcement. Strikethrough = Text to be deleted Bold, Italic and Underlined Text = Text to be added ARTICLE III - RESIDENT REGISTRATION Each resident is required to fill out a Resident Information Form, available at the administrative office. The Resident Information Form provides the Association with all pertinent information regarding your residency and vehicle use at the Association. The form includes space for you to provide important information regarding your frequent guests. Providing this information will make it easier for your guests to enter the community. Be certain that your telephone number is correctly noted on your Resident Information Form. Resident Information Forms may only be updated at the administration office. The penalties for failure to register all occupants within five (5) working days of occupancy are as follows: 1st offense – A fine of $100. 2nd offense within one (1) year of 1st offense – A fine of $100 and the scheduling of a disciplinary hearing before the Master Board of Directors.
