| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2018 | 43 Good news for the summer. We will have informal "Summer Line Dance Sessions." These are for our experienced dancers who just can't get through the summer without some line dancing. For the month of June, there will be two sessions on Mon., June 18, and 25, in the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8 pm. We will also have three sessions in July. We will try something a little different this summer and have a Ballroom dance in June. We have scheduled a dance for Thurs., June 21, from, 7 to 9 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Consider this dance as a refresher for all the dances you've learned this year, so come and have some fun. The club has just completed its 25th year. The club has remained popular through the years due to the fact that everyone, singles and couples, are equally welcomed to come learn a dance, meet some friendly people and have a good time. Except for the summer sessions above, we will be taking a little rest while we get ready for the next season starting in August and September. So, for people who may be interested in our dance club, keep reading the Country Western Dance Club articles in your Lifestyles magazine. The audience loved the dances and Bollywood is always a favorite. The "Filipino Dance," directed by our graceful Perla Williams, gave variety to the show; and our colorful national costumes were a hit! We look forward to a great show in 2019 and will begin practice soon. We have been invited to join the Follies again this year. Thank you, Florence Morck and staff. We also have been invited to perform at "Young at Heart" in September. Both venues will be Asian dance, under the direction of our own Joan Lau. We look forward to an exciting new year! Pink Ukuladies April and May have been busy months for our Pink Ukuladies. Our charity function at the "Church of the Nazarene" was enjoyed by a full audience as well as DJ Blast and friends. In addition to our Maravilla show, we performed both ukulele with song and two Hawaiian dances at the "Loma Linda Ukulele Festival." We were well received by over one dozen ukulele groups from the surrounding Inland Empire. We look forward to an exciting year and really enjoy singing and playing our ukuleles. If you want to join the fun, call Lily Fedotowsky at (941) 662- 0633. We always welcome new venues.
