50 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2018 |
Tom Reynolds was very informative in his presentation on planting a
garden and we thank him for donating some awesome vegetables.
In 1999, Dorris Harrison was the first to start Plant A Row for the
Hungry at Dysart Park.
Linda Vieira will give our presentation this month on Oceans, The
Gardens of the World. She was raised in Brooklyn, NY and Windsor,
Ontario, Canada. She retired after 32 years as an educational resource
specialist, elementary school teacher, language arts and creative writing
specialist, besides writing for Lifestyles and Sun Lakes Life, she currently
works for the University of Redlands as a supervisor of student teachers.
Linda is a published author of four non-fiction books for children,
and many educational resources that are in use in elementary schools
throughout California. As mentioned earlier, one of her books is about
oceans. We look forward to her presentation.
