Many thanks to the hard work from top to bottom of the golf course maintenance staff. This year's tournament schedule lacked a tournament for the month of June. We have decided to have a tournament on the third Saturday of the month which is the U.S. Open weekend. It will be a pick your own foursome plus the score of a professional golfer who made the cut at the Open. On Saturday morning, before play, your team will draw the name of a pro who made the cut after the second round. He will be the fifth member of your group for the day and his final score on Saturday will be added to your team's score to complete the scoring for your team. After play we will be having hot dogs and beer for $5 on the veranda. More details will be provided as we get closer to the event. Just put the date on your calendar, Sat., June 16. Our 2018 Men's Golf Club membership drive is still ongoing. New residents can pick up membership forms in the Pro Shop. We continue to encourage members from last year to renew their memberships. Dues are $70. $34 goes towards Men's Club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A. / Ghin handicap. In the event you are no longer able to participate in the tournaments, we do have an Associate Membership ($34) that will entitle you to join us in our luncheons, social events and club meetings. We want to grow our membership. Members from last year who have not yet renewed their membership, please do so promptly. Reminder: you must have your membership renewed in order to play in our tournaments. Executive Men's Golf Executive Men's Golf Club meets every Friday at the North Clubhouse at 8:30 am for a 9 am shotgun start. Tournaments are held on the third Friday of the month followed by a catered lunch at the South Clubhouse. We have three holes with closest to the pin to win money. There will be no third Friday tournament in June due to Charity Week. The EMGC is open to all male residents of Sun Lakes. COME JOIN US! New member forms are available in the North Clubhouse.
