FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2018 55 Paddle Tennis When I first moved into Four Seasons in 2009 and while exploring the Main Lodge, I found a sign pointing toward Paddle Tennis. When I walked there, I found two small courts covered with leaves and which seemed to be abandoned. At that time I was more into tennis and playing with friends in the Sun Lakes community. Some of these friends were also playing paddle tennis and when I was introduced to it, I was hooked. Paddle tennis gives you all the action and challenge of regular tennis but without so much running as the court is relatively smaller. I had some problems with one of my knees and felt that playing on a smaller court would reduce the wear and tear on my legs overall. In 2011 several Four Seasons friends decided to form the paddle tennis group which exists today. It's been a lot of fun playing this sport with an easy-going group of players with fun, exercise and socializing in mind. However once the game starts we can get very serious and a line call is frequently challenged. We are fortunate to live in Four Seasons as the weather is conducive to outdoor activities for most of the year. So come and get some exercise, breath the fresh air and meet some friendly people. Summer Play Times: W/F/Sun. 8:30 - 10:30 am • M/W/F/Sat./Sun. 6 - 8 pm. ~ Alan Chan Paddle Players enjoying a potluck at the Summit
