FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2018 19 Greetings! Our Paint Night was a great success and all who attended had a wonderful time. As you can see our local artists did extremely well with their paintings. A big thank you to our event chairpersons, Patty Spinosa and Pepsi Powers, and to Susan Turley and her team (The Art Barn) for making this evening well organized, fun and filled with laughter and camaraderie. As you know we began selling tickets for our Aug. 11 Fashion Show/Luncheon last month. This is a sellout event so if there are any remaining tickets you can purchase them at the Lobby Front Desk in the Lodge. Welcome to our new Board Liaison, Claudeen Diaz, and to our newest committee recruit, Kathy Lingren. ~ Pamela Morales Social Committee The three eastern shuffleboard courts were renovated last month. The courts were painted and a new finish applied that enables the puck to glide easily across the surface of the court. The pickleball courts were updated with new chain link fencing that replaces the old tennis nets as a divider between the courts. The tennis poles supporting the nets were corroded and a decision was made to replace the tennis nets with chain link fencing to provide a taller and safer divider between the courts. Several projects were completed last month including electrical and LED lighting updates in the Ballroom as well as the wrought iron fence painting in residential phase C. The committee is currently reviewing expansion of the Craft Room and roof repairs for the three buildings at the Lodge. Richard Ladeira recently resigned from the Facilities Committee. Richard has made many important contributions to the Facilities Committee and his leadership and expertise will be missed. We thank him for his service and commitment to our community. We currently have several positions open on the Facility Committee for anyone interested in serving our community. The Facility Committee meets in the RCN building on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 am.
