No Bake Blender
Chocolate Custard By Irene Welker
Here is a delicious and easy dessert that takes no time to make. You can vary the flavor by
substituting other extracts, syrups or liquor for the vanilla. I have used orange, amaretto or
coffee liquors. Adding orange zest or a little mint to the mixture is also delightful. Whatever
you decide to use, enjoy! Serves 4 • Prep time: 5 min • Chill time: 4 hours
INGREDIENTS
• ¾ Cup good quality semi-sweet chocolate chips
• ¾ Cup milk
• ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 egg
DIRECTIONS
• Place the chocolate chips in a blender.
• Heat milk until hot, do not boil.
• Add the hot milk to the chocolate chips in the
blender and blend together.
• When the chocolate is melted, add the vanilla and
egg. Blend on high for one minute.
• Pour into four Ramekins or custard cups.
• Chill in refrigerator four hours.
• Serve as is or garnish toppings of your choice,
such as whipped cream, nuts, cookies, berries or
other fruits.
