36 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2018 Scary Clown Group The purpose is pretty straight-forward — we dress as clowns and scare people. The method you use to scare is up to your individual creative approach. Some chase people, others leap out from behind bushes at people walking their dogs down the sidewalk; some hide in the back seat of a car and then slowly sit up while the person is driving down the road, others prefer to hide in a bathtub and surprise people who are about to step in to take a shower. The bottom line is we have fun scaring people and, deep down, we think people enjoy it as well. If this sounds like something you may be interested in, please join us at the Summit at the crack of dawn every Friday. Dingle Berry, our newly elected president, will conduct a brief business meeting and then will introduce a guest speaker who will demonstrate a make up technique or scare idea. Our secretary, Helena Handbasket will then pass out muffins. If you have any questions, please contact Helena at (909) 213- 1428. Friendly clowns need not apply. ~ Skittery the Clown Summer is upon us and you might be thinking it's time to take off some weight. Here at Four Seasons you have the option of coming to a TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) meeting. At this meeting you will meet a great group of encouragers and get a lot of inspiration from all those who have been successful on this often difficult journey. Our programs include discussions regarding nutrition, motivation, health and fitness as well as other related topics. The month of May our biggest losers were Marjorie Melendez (3.4 pounds) and runner-up Patricia Whalen (2.4 pounds). Congratulations ladies. TOPS is also very affordable with a yearly membership fee of $32. This includes a magazine with a lot of great information which we receive bimonthly. There are also chapter dues of $3 per month. We meet at the Lodge on Tuesday mornings with weigh- in from 8 to 8:30 am and the meeting 8:30 to 9:30 am. You may attend one meeting with no obligation. You really need to come and see what we are about. Look at it this way, you have nothing to lose but weight and you may gain better health along the way. For more information please contact our chapter leader, Cathy Calhoun at (951) 849-2614. ~ Cheryl Burke TOPS
