FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2018 9 July freaks me out because we are now more than half way through the year. How did that happen already? In any case, let's talk events. Movie Night at the Summit turned out to be a bit more controversial than one might think. The neighbors who might be impacted by the movie sounds were canvassed to get their input and the results came in with 40 people wanting the movies and 12 people not wanting the movies. The BOD determined that majority rules so the Movie Nights at the Summit will take place on July 13 and Aug. 24 at 8 pm to 10 pm. I believe the same movie proposed in June will be playing: Romancing the Stone. Upon further consideration, it was determined that the popcorn machine would make too much mess at the Summit, so it was recommended by John Noonan to "Bring your own P.C. (Popcorn) and Wine." It's still going to be fun, so come out and join us with your lawn chairs and blankets. Please don't come and save space until after 6 pm. Thank you. The Fourth of July Extravaganza is happening again at the Lodge this year. Every year it seems we get a little more fun and extravagant. This year's event schedule starts with in-house club competitions from 7 am to 11:30 am and from 12 to 1 pm. We will have a big community potluck luncheon (please come and sign up at the Lodge, what you will be bringing and how many of you there will be). From 1 to 2 pm we will have our Awards Ceremony Show. From 3 to 4 pm we will have our Patriotic Golf Cart Parade, so decorate your golf carts and come on down to the Lodge for the parade line up and photos. From 4 to 6:30 pm we'll have our twilight pool party and live band at the Lodge. The Lodge closes at 7 pm and the parties move up to the Summit for the 9 to 10 pm viewing of the Beaumont City Pyro Spectacular (fireworks). It's going to be a fun-filled day that you won't soon forget! It's always so great to get all of the neighbors together! Have a wonderful July and I'll see you around the Lodge.
