SHOCKING! EXCURSION SIGN-UPS: All new excursions are not released for sign-up until the FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH BEGINNING AT 8 AM. If the 1st falls on a Saturday or Sunday then sign-ups will begin on the following Monday. If a holiday falls on the first day of the month, sign-ups will begin the next day. WAITING LIST POLICY: The waiting list is created by the Rec. Dept. for sold out events/excursions. This list is used (in order of registration) when the attendee has to cancel due to illness, doctor's appointment, etc. The waiting list is not used for additional sign-ups for secondary excursions that are scheduled due to their popularity. Contact the Rec. Dept. if you have any questions about either of these two policies. WE ACCEPT CHECKS ONLY. You can register up to 4 people (including yourself ) per check per household, payable to Sun Lakes Country Club. All Recreation Classes, Excursions and Special Events are open to residents only, unless otherwise specified. We may open Excursions and Special Events to guests if numbers are low and the activity is in danger of being canceled. - Thank you! LONG BEACH HARBOR CRUISE/ SHORELINE VILLAGE Thurs., Sept. 27, 8:45 am to 4:45 pm, $38 pp: Join us as we explore Long Beach's coastline. You will learn history about the harbor as well as see the beautiful Long Beach skyline, California sea lions playing in the harbor, the world-famous Queen Mary, large cargo and container ships from all over the world, and much, much more! Harbor Breeze Cruise has provided public seasonal cruises for the past 18 years. The experienced captains offer a comprehensive narration. Comfortable accommodations aboard the ships include lounge areas where you may enjoy a snack or drink provided by our galley service. The ships also have lavatories and expansive deck areas for viewing and photography. After your sea journey (45 mins) you will paddle on over to Shoreline Village for lunch (on own), shopping and site seeing. Wander, adventure and explore! Shoreline Village is a waterfront shopping, dining, and entertainment center that overlooks Long Beach's beautiful Rainbow Harbor. The Village welcomes visitors with a relaxed atmosphere and full complement of things to see and do. Styled after a quaint Cape Cod fishing village, Shoreline Village is a friendly destination which features an antique carousel, bike rentals to explore the Long Beach coastline, and unique specialty shops. Dine at one of Long Beach's premier seafood restaurants, visit Parkers Lighthouse, or just kick-back, relax and enjoy the amazing views.
