34 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2018 | Dog Massage Club Many thanks to all of you who attended our Readers Theater production of the Scarlet Pimpernel. The cast consisted of some of our seasoned actors as well as four new actors who participated for the first time and enjoyed the experience very much. Our next performance will take place on Nov. 29 and more information will follow at a later date. We also kicked off our summer season with our potluck BBQ which featured a red, white and blue theme. Our next quarterly potluck will take place on Sept. 26 so mark it on your calendars. Our event chairperson, Sandy Haines, will provide more information on this event in the near future. We had to cancel our annual classical concert this year due to personal issues with two of our performers, but we plan to schedule another concert next year. More information will follow as soon as we secure a date for next year. The dates for our fall play are Oct. 25-28 and auditions are scheduled for July 18 and 19 at 9 am in the bus room. We are still in the process of selecting a play and we will have more information regarding the play at this month's meeting. Our monthly meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 1 pm in the Ballroom. If you have any interest in acting, helping backstage or volunteering for other jobs, or are curious about what we do, come join us and see what our club is all about. Join our Facebook group "Sun Lakes Playhouse" for more information as it happens. For membership information, please contact Sue Dunn at 769- 7552 or at alsuedunn@gmail.com. Everyone likes to get a massage, even our favorite four legged pals! We formed this club so more residents can learn how to properly pamper their dogs. Both the president and vice-president of our club are former professional puppy massage therapists. In 1987, they opened a massage therapy center that treated all dogs of all sizes and ages. They've lived here since 2002 and decided to share their gift with their neighbors. Your dog will see the following benefits: • Less barking • Better digestion • Excellent posture/Longer legs • Appreciation of classical music • Generosity/Loan sharking • Dancing/Hopping on a pogo stick • Firm bowel movements • Financial responsibility/Excellent credit • Night vision/Ability to fly • Ability to make balloon animals • Juggling/Magic Tricks • Whistling happy tunes If you would like to join us and learn how to improve your dog's life, call (909) 797-3647.
