54 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2018 | Ladies Exec. Golf Welcome to Lady Executive Golfers (LEGS)! We are a 9-hole club on the Executive Course. We play weekly on Tuesday mornings with mixed play, fun scrambles and a monthly tournament. In addition, we participate with other clubs for 18-hole tournaments and "away games" a few times during the year. During the summer (July through September) we meet at 7:30 am with a tee time of 8 am. The third Tuesday of each month is our monthly meeting and lunch ($10) at the South Clubhouse. We emphasize fun and socializing while striving to improve our game and become more familiar with the Rules of Golf. Join us! Women's Golf We play a variety of weekly golf games and scheduled tournaments on our Championship Course on Thursdays and on the first Saturday of each month. The first Thursday of each month is a Scramble or a Shamble, followed by our General Meeting and luncheon. In addition to our regular weekly games, we have nine major tournaments scheduled this year, including our Member/Guest Invitational Tournament and the Extravaganza, which is co-ed and played with members of the Sun Lakes Men's Golf Club. Tournaments are flighted. Our $65 annual membership fee includes a WSCGA-sanctioned handicap (Women's Southern California Golf Association). To obtain the handicap, you will need to play five 18-hole rounds on the Championship course. If you are looking for an enjoyable challenge and the camaraderie of our many golf sisters, please join us. Applications are available in the Main Pro Shop and on our Sun Lakes website. Lady Niners As we get into our hot months of summer, the Lady Niners will be enjoying our "scramble" on July 5 at 7:45 am on the Executive Course, where we will play the back nine. This will be followed by our Executive Course meeting at 10:30 am in the MP room. On the second and third Thursdays, we will be hosting the Extravaganza. Be sure to sign up early for that event. You won't want to miss it. Lady Niners have the advantage of playing nine holes of golf each Thursday. Each member carries a GHIN handicap thus giving them an opportunity to take part in other golfing events. Our golf rounds vary from week to week, which gives you a chance to play with most of the members at one time or another. Each month we usually have a Cup Day, a scramble, a fun round and a regular round. If you are interested in joining us, call Peg at 845-9742 and she can fill you in on the details of our club.
