6 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JULY 2018 | GM Report By Christopher Mitchell Member Questions from previous meeting: Q: A member stated that he's asked for the public agendas to contain more information/attachments to the items of business listed. Further, the member stated the District Delegate Assembly should have the power to veto the Board's decisions. A: The Board has heard the request to modify the agenda packet and will review the request. Second, the Governing Documents describe the roles and responsibilities of the Board and the District Delegates. Based on the Governing Documents, the District Delegates do not have the authority to veto a Board's decision. Q: A Member's daughter, and care provider, addressed the Board on her mother's behalf, requesting an automatic door/opener for the South Clubhouse be installed at the front entrance facing Myrtle Beach Dr. The member has written letters to her District Delegate, the General Manager and the Board. This member uses a walker to get around and says the doors are too heavy for her to open while utilizing her walker. Her family wishes to keep their mother active and this would help make that happen. There is already an automatic door with push button installed near the pool on the South Clubhouse by the handicap parking area.
