Architectural Review Landscape Committee At our December meeting, we recommended two options for picnic table sites. One option would be for seven sites with two to four rectangular tables plus two sites with individual circular tables similar to the ones in the Lodge grounds near the tennis courts. A second option would be for three sites with three to four rectangular tables and one site with a circular table. Cement platforms would be built under the tables and trees planted to provide shade where needed. A proposal was sent to the board for vinyl fencing along the Highland Springs trail below Four Seasons Circle to enhance safety and a wire fence around the basin near the Edison Easement to preclude unauthorized entry. Vinyl fencing would also replace the wire fencing near the Lodge entrance. Upgrades to the plant life along Potrero Boulevard and Highland Springs will begin in January. During December, the coyote bushes throughout the community are frosted with Beaumont Snow to give us a wintery white Christmas look. For information, contact Chairman Len Tavernetti at (909) 744-2388 or ltavernetti@hotmail.com. ~ Len Tavernetti Its a new year and we wish you a happy and prosperous year. To all homeowners, we want to remind you exterior improvements and modications to your home or landscaping must be submitted and approved by the ARC committee. It is our goal and duty to maintain the spirit and aesthetics of the community by reviewing the submitted plans for guideline requirements. We would like to add it is in your best interest to not proceed with the work prior to approval. We have reviewed many submittals lately which the owner has elected to proceed prior to approval. Most of these submittals have required additional information or revisions to meet with the guidelines. Please be aware, you do this at your own risk. Additional costs may be incurred. Please wait until your submittal has been approved before proceeding. The committee meets the rst and third Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am. Plans must be submitted no later than Monday noon prior to the Wednesday meeting day for review that week. Homeowners are welcome to attend our meetings to see how the process works. ~ Ron Burke Safety & Facilities The Safety and Facilities Committee met last month and discussed Bistro chairs and Card Room table projects, Aerobics Room ooring and air conditioning upgrades, outdoor shower at the Lodge pool, wreath storage, tennis lighting, and Paddle/Pickle court striping. Renee Watkins, Facility Coordinator, is addressing these issues and projects. We were briefed on Neighborhood Watch and Emergency Preparedness. A special note is given to the upcoming Safety Fair on Jan. 12, to be held at the Lodge. This is an important event to the community and should be attended. We meet the rst Tuesday of the month at 9 am in the Lodge Conference Room and welcome ideas for facility projects. ~ Dennis Gray Finance Committee At our November meeting, we reviewed the nancial statements for October, which reected the following signicant items: Net income year-todate was $133,677 and total reserves were $3,162,709.
