This group is designed to provide emotional support to any resident mourning the death of a spouse, relationship, child, parent, or beloved pet. We gather together as "hearts with ears" in absolute confidentiality in a safe shared place where strangers may become friends. Each of us is unique; our grief cannot be identical to any other, and the way to get to the other side of your grief is to "go through." We cannot criticize or judge. The meetings are every Saturday morning in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room from 9:30 to 11:30 am. For more information, you may call Barbara Searcy at 663-3382. Bereavement Group The Chorale of Sun Lakes Presents the Inland Sound Chorus Since 2012 the Sun Lakes Chorale has sponsored an exceptional summer afternoon musical presentation of the Inland Sound Chorus. Sun Lakers from the Inland Empire Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society are proud members of that chorus. This year, their sister chapter from Sweet Adelines International will join in this production. Barbershop music is an American art form, featuring four-part a cappella music. Sweet Adelines singers have a higher voice range, generally an entire octave above their male counterparts. Their costuming is flashy and vibrant, and their choreography is delightful. Also on the double bill are two internationally famous quartets, Ms. Cellaneous, and Parfait. Mark your calendars now for this wonderful summer event on Aug. 19 at 3 pm. Open theater seating tickets are $10 pp, and will go on sale in the Main Clubhouse lobby starting Mon., Aug. 6, and will be available Monday through Friday from 9:30 am until 2:30 pm until Fri., Aug. 17. Tickets will also be available at the door.
