Please join us for the upcoming Saturday morning mixer on Aug. 4 at 8 am at the South Clubhouse. All residents of Sun Lakes are welcome and refreshments are provided. We were treated to "Breakfast at Wimbledon" at the Main Clubhouse lounge on Sunday July 15. The red roses, champagne, strawberries and cream, pancakes and fun with tennis friends was excellent. The Italiano mixer/dinner on Wed., July 18, was another fun night on the courts and dinner was great! Please sign up to attend the "Pizza and Beer" mixer/dinner that is on Wed., Aug. 15 at 5 pm. Tennis play will be 5 - 6 pm and pizza will be served at 6 pm at the South Clubhouse. The Men's Doubles Tournament is coming up Sept. 28, 29 and 30 so mark your calendars now and call your partner to get signed up. The backboard/hitting wall will be here by Aug. 9 and installed shortly thereafter. We still have wine glasses, beer mugs and tennis club shirts available to purchase, call Lillie Lawaetz at (760) 673-6520. That's what you'll find with us. Haven't played since you were a kid? Doesn't matter… we have players of all skill levels. We play Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 4 to 6 pm, and Sat., 10 am to 12 noon in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom (normally). While many of our players travel during the summer to cooler locations, you will always find folks on the scheduled days below. During the summer months you will find players gathering to play at 7:30 am in order to beat the heat. This is a great time to invite a friend or neighbor to join you on the court. Equipment is available for newcomers to use. We welcome everyone interested in the game to join us. Official scheduled days of play are Tues., Thurs., and Fri. from 8 to 10 am. On Sunday, the courts are open to everyone, but many POP Tennis players show up to play on Sunday at 8 am.
