58 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2018 The Four Seasons Motorcycle Club has been busy planning and organizing some multi-day rides that will be taken over the next twelve months. In mid-October, we will set out on a two-day ride to Jacumba (east of San Diego, just north of the Mexican border). A Laughlin ride is set for November. This will be a four-day ride consisting of enjoying the Laughlin night life in addition to taking daily rides. In late April we will head out for Tucson on a multi-day ride that will include visits to Bisbee and Tombstone. An even more adventuresome ride is in the works for next September. This will be a week-long ride consisting of heading up the Pacific Coast to San Francisco, heading east over the Sierras then heading south via the 395. Can't wait! As for our weekly rides, we head out on Thursday mornings (weather permitting) from The Lodge parking lot promptly at 9 am. During the hot summer months, we shorten the rides a bit. Generally, we will head up to a cooler spot like Idyllwild or Big Bear for a leisurely breakfast and then we head home before the day gets too hot. As the cooler seasons of fall, winter and spring approach, the route possibilities are almost endless and the rides are longer, generally about 200 miles. Popular destinations include a mountain ride to Julian. Heading to San Clemente over the Ortegas is always fun. Riding to Borrego Springs is always on our list. A ride through Joshua Tree National Park is one of our favorites. Riding up over Idyllwild and down to the Temecula wine country is always a must ride. Like I said, the choices for a Thursday ride are almost endless. While each destination is unique, the joy of riding and camaraderie never changes. If you love to ride and are looking to hang out with a fun bunch of fellow motorcycle enthusiasts, join the club! We are not picky about what you ride, on any given day you will see any combination of Harley-Davidson (no, it does not have to be black), BMW, Triumph, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda, Victory, Suzuki and Can-Am. Also, we are not picky about your style of ride. Our club consists of full touring rides, sport tourers, adventure tourers and cruisers as well as three wheelers. We also meet the first Wednesday of the month in the RCN building (adjacent to The Lodge) at 6 pm for our monthly meeting. If you are thinking about joining the club, feel free to join us and see what it's all about. Also, if you are relatively new to motorcycle riding or are thinking about taking up motorcycle riding, you probably have lots of questions. Joining us at our monthly meeting is a great way to get some practical advice, so feel free to drop by; we would love to meet you. ~ Jim Ayala Motorcycle Club Getting ready for another Thursday ride Breakfast at the Stagecoach Inn in Aguanga.
