58 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2018 Sept. 21 was National POW/MIA Recognition Day and it was nice to see several of our Four Seasons Motorcycle Club members participating in the procession at the Riverside Veterans Cemetery and Memorial. A big THANKS to our club members who were able to take part in the procession. Well, it looks like the summer heat is finally behind us as we are seeing cooler days and cooler nights. This was evident by a recent Thursday ride that took us to Palm Desert for breakfast. After our stomachs were full, we headed up and over the mountains to Anza via Hwy. 74, which is always so much fun. Love those twisties! By the time we got to Anza, we had to take a short break so that a couple riders could add a layer of clothing as the weather was in the 60s. This was a welcome change after months of riding in the 90s. From Anza we took some back roads as we worked our way to Sage Road. We eventually made it to Sanderson Road and it was smooth sailing up Hwy. 79 to Beaumont. In all, it was about 150 miles of enjoying a motorcycle ride in perfect weather with fellow motorcycling friends. It seems that a few of our members have contracted the new motorcycle buying bug. Maybe it's something in the cooling fall air. Howard Lyon showed up recently on his new blue BMW R1200RT. It's gorgeous. Not to be outdone, Steve Bennett is now riding a sweet red Harley Davidson Road Glide. Dan Lanphere is having fun on his new black Triumph 1200 Bobber. Love that retro look! Neil Edelbaum is now riding a beautiful Kawasaki Versys 1000. Rick Brower is now the proud owner of a stunning white Indian Road Master and yours truly is now riding a Yamaha FJ09. As has been noted before and as evident by the six new rides, the Four Seasons MC includes a wide array of motorcycle makes and classes, each according to the rider's personal preference and riding styles. Regardless, we all have one thing in common – the love of motorcycle riding. ~ Jim Ayala Motorcycle Club Taking part in the POW/MIA procession (L-R) Scott Snyder, Bob Howard, Dan Lanphere and Ron Morgan in Anza, enjoying another Thursday ride
