| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2018 | 11 Access Control Committee We need your help! You may remember that a couple of months ago we transitioned from the pocket size plastic transponders over to the adhesive RFID vehicle-mounted tag. Thanks to the huge efforts on behalf of the Lodge staff and the support of many on the other committees, I am sure you would agree that for the most part this was a successful operation. Well, we now want to expand that program to include many of our regular outside vendors. This is mainly due to the backlog of vendors trying to access the Four Seasons Main Gate during peak periods of operation. The Board of Directors is proposing to implement a similar RFID program that would streamline this entry system while still maintaining the safety of our community. Obviously we will use the utmost discretion before we issue anyone this option, and we will ensure that we maintain both your personal, and our community's safety in taking this action. Applicants would need to provide and maintain: • Liability insurance • Valid driver's license • Obey Four Seasons Contractor, Vendor and Service Providers Code of Conduct (to be provided) • Be in good standing But we need your help, if you know, or have contact with any regular outside vendors such as lawn care, handyman, healthcare provider, house cleaners or any such "regular" daily or weekly service that you use, and believe that they can benefit from this procedure, we ask you, either by word-of-mouth, or by showing them this article, to please contact either the Lodge office or the security folks at the main gate. If the applicant is approved, they will have their own access RFID tag to both front and rear gates. Please be aware that this RFID program is part of our dwellingLive software that allows us to control entry and exit hours of operation for any of these vendors. Earthquakes: An earthquake is the sudden, rapid shaking of the earth, caused by the breaking and shifting of underground rock. Earthquakes can cause buildings to collapse and cause heavy items to fall, resulting in injuries and property damage. Earthquakes can: • Happen anywhere – though higher risk areas include California, Alaska, and the Mississippi Valley • Happen without warning • Cause fires and damage roads • Cause tsunamis, landslides, and avalanches • If an earthquake happens, protect yourself right away. Drop, cover, then hold on! • If in a vehicle, pull over and stop • If in bed, stay there • If outdoors, stay outdoors • Do not get in a doorway • Do not run outside
