Happy Thanksgiving! 6 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2018 | Can I say Happy Holidays yet? Can you believe we are already headed into the holiday season? November is my favorite month with my favorite holiday — Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is the holiday where no one tries to prove their love with bigger and more expensive gifts, but instead shows their love by gathering around a wonderful meal with family and friends, shares good memories, and gives thanks for their blessings. I wish all of you a wonderful holiday season — especially Thanksgiving! For all of you who volunteered for the car show, we THANK YOU! With a special BIG thanks going out to David Balser and his committee for the great work they did. Over 100 cars were registered for the event, along with outside vendors and many generous sponsors. If you didn't come to the show, you missed a lot of fun, good food, great music and many wonderful cars, trucks, low riders, Model As and many more interesting "vehicles." Plans are in the works for next year… just looking for a date when the weather is cooler. If you are interested in helping plan the car show next year, please contact me. It requires LOTS of volunteers. We also are looking for a chair person. As we head into November and the end of the year, there are several events you need to mark on your calendar. Look throughout this edition of the Herald for more information. Nov. 11 – Free Veterans' Tribute Show in the Ballroom with our Roll Call, parade of colors, and special musical show by Jonnie Fox and the Satinettes. Veterans, please wear your hat/shirt/piece of memorabilia from your time in the service of our country. Nov. 22 – The Bistro will be putting on their annual Thanksgiving dinner with two sittings at 12 noon and 2 pm. Tickets will be on sale Nov. 1 at the front desk. Dec. 6 – Holiday Luncheon (everyone is welcome) to benefit the Salvation Army. This luncheon is in place of the holiday home tour this year. Dec. 31 – New Year's Eve celebration. As you know this event sells out fast, so don't wait to get your tickets. Save the Date: Jan. 13, 2019 will be our Comedy Club Night in the Ballroom. This event will be extra fun as we are having a hypnotist, and we will be looking for volunteers for this event. We will have an ice cream sundae bar along with this event. So watch for more information in next month's issue. See you around the Lodge! A Note From Your Activities Director By Louise Ceccarelli The Bus Excursion to see "Beautiful! The Carole King Story" was a great success, with dinner before the show at Buca di Beppo!
