I recapped at the November Delegate's meeting, our informational Board meeting on Nov. 12. and our open Nov. 28 Board meeting why we went out for bid, the process that we went through and our final decision. Now I would like to give you a synopsis of who FirstService Residential is. FirstService Residential is a subsidiary of FirstService Corporation, a global leader in the rapidly growing real estate services sector, one of the largest markets in the world. As the largest residential community manager in North America, FirstService Residential oversees more than 7,700 communities and 1.7 million residential units across 23 U.S. states and three provinces in Canada. In California, FirstService Residential has grown over the past three decades serving the state with 950 communities representing 235,000 units. Twelve regional offices throughout California are located in North and South Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Westlake Village, Santa Clarita, Orange County, the Coachella Valley, Carlsbad, San Diego, the Bay Area, Sacramento and San Francisco. For our community, the corporate office will be in Upland and our accounting and financials will be done in their Irvine office. As an organization, FirstService Residential is accredited through the Community Associations Institute (CAI), which is a nationally recognized leader of education and influence in the common interest development industry. They also require that all their managers gain the CMCA certification. The following is a list of client references. The Board visited three of their properties. 1. Ironwood Community Association and Country Club in foothills of Santa Rosa of Coachella Valley - has two golf courses and restaurant 2. Trilogy La Quinta - active adult community 3. Ladera Ranch located in Southern Orange County 4. Four Seasons Communities - Hemet, Beaumont and Palm Springs 5. Corte Bella in the Northwest Valley of Phoenix -has a 7,011 yard championship golf course 6. Sun Village located in Surprise, Arizona – has café and 18 hole, par 3 executive golf course. FirstService Residential contract will take effect Jan.5, 2019. We will be announcing a date for a greet and meet of the new management company. So please watch for that upcoming information. A transition plan and time frame has been put into place. FirstService, administration and the Board will all work together to make this transition as smooth as possible for all our residents.
